Biography

George Owuor is a seasoned policy advocacy and partnerships specialist with over 16 years of experience advancing evidence-based policy, gender equality, and inclusive development across Africa. His expertise spans public policy, research, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), and multi-stakeholder partnership building, with a strong track record of influencing programs that drive sustainable social impact.

George currently serves as Senior Associate Consultant at CIDE Group, where he leads assignments focused on GESI integration, policy advocacy, and strategic partnerships. Previously, he worked with leading international development organisations, including Forum for African Women Educationalists, PATH, Practical Action, and Plan International, supporting initiatives that strengthen community systems, promote equity, and influence policy at national and regional levels.

As a board director at REMEI, George provides strategic leadership on advocacy and partnerships, guiding the organization in building strong collaborations, strengthening governance and accountability systems, and amplifying policy engagement to advance ecosystem restoration and community empowerment in Elgeyo Marakwet County.
